MINUTES: D.R.Y.L. Meeting, Wissinoming Y.C. March 07,'06
OPENING:
Pres. Jusino opened the meeting at 2010 hours with the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
The League was welcomed to Wissinoming YC by Comm. Kaewell. Presjusino mentioned that Frank MacAfee is very ill.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION.
Mr. Charles Langen, Operator of Southiersey Marina, Cape May, NJ provided a lot of information concerning the re-opened SJ. Marina. He mentioned that new docks have been installed, the marina accommodates up to 50 visiting vessels. Many incentives are available for visiting crew members such as no cost visits to the beach, local restaurants and 4 shopping malls. Rates are very competitive and many CBYCA visiting clubs have spent time at SJ. Marina Flyers and business cards were distributed.

President Jusino mentioned the Person of the Year is a shared award between Barbara andButch Grieco for their efforts concerning the aftermath of the Athos oil spill; Yacht Club of the Year is a shared
award between Riverside and Harbor Light clubs for their hosting and running of the Von Nieda picnic.
Audit and Budget

Joe Campbell reported on the 92nd annual banquet. Two hundred and fifty two persons attended,17 member clubs were represented and many princesses were there too; the flat screen T.V. was won by Phyllis
Blackeby and the MP 3 player by Harry Borgersen. Joe was congratulated for the great event. The 2007
banquet will be held at Cannstatters on Feb. 24th.
Boater Voter Coalition:
C.B.Y.C.A:
Jerry Donofrio mentioned that the combined DRYL and CBYCA meeting would be held at QuakerCity YC on Saturday March 18th beginning at 10am.
Cruise:
Bob Bocock reporting--To date, 5 vessels have been registered for the cruise, 15 is the max. See Bobfor the complete itinerary
Fleet Surgeon
: Harry (Doc) Borgersen discussed the many forms of flu virus including the avian type. So far174 cases have been reported, 94 fatalities. So far the avian flu is the only virus that is not passed from human
to human and to date there is no cure.

National(NBF):
Jerry Donofrio reporting: The US Coast Guard has decided it cannot continue to operate the "upgraded" Loran navigation systemNew Jersey: Jerry Donofrio reporting- the NJ boat operator "certification" licensing "bill" for boaters born after 1969 topic was discussed. At the present time no facilities are available for education, enforcement, etc., Jerry offered the suggestion that the 1 June '06 effective date should be extended until June '07

next meeting at Penn. Yacht Club, 15 March '06; Fish and Boat Comm. has reported a significant decrease in boat registrations through out the state.Pageant: Toni Nespola reporting on the '06 Pageant is scheduled Aug. 12th., '06 at Phila. Marine Center & Independence Seaport Museum
Picnic: Butch Gricco reporting: event scheduled for Sept. 09, '06 a Riverside YC, more later.

.Shoreline Planning: Jerry Donofrio reported the recently released Coastal Zone Management report contained no information concerning the Delaware River.
Safety: Courtesy vessel inspections May 27th @ Wiggins Marina, Camden, NJ.
Yearbook: June Donofrio reporting. June reported that several member clubs have not submitted pages for the year book. Personal ads are fewer than last year. Fleet Page listings are well behind last year’s number. June also mentioned that she will retire from the position of Year Book Editorafter the 2006 edition has been printed and distributed.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
LNG Facilities. Discussion concerned the facility proposed at Sparrow Point, Del Location ans the proposed distribution plan for the LNG to the Philadelphia area..
NEW BUSINESS
A motion was made and seconded and approved to send fruit baskets to Barrie Borman and Frank MacAfee.
